The Mark V APEX is where long-range accuracy meets lightweight hunting. Equipped with Peak 44s Bastion stock, among the lightest production vertical grip carbon fiber stocks. It features a comfortable ambidextrous palm swell and a substantial thumb groove to promote proper form while shooting. The forend features dual sling studs to allow the shooter multiple options when deciding on accessories. The second generation 3DHEX recoil pad, the first production 3D printed pad, hidden inside the pad is a series of interlocking voids that progressively collapse during recoil, expanding the time component of the recoil impulse and deadening the sharp kick of magnum chamberings. This means less felt recoil resulting in better accuracy downrange. More pronounced spiral fluting on the bolt body not only trims weight but also reduces the bearing surface within the action and results in smoother bolt function. Fit with Weatherby's highly-effective Accubrake ST, this brake is blended to match the profile of the muzzle.
